  • Ventilation: Ensure there is adequate space around the freezer (typically at least 5 cm at sides and rear) and that the condenser area is not blocked by dust.
  • Reset alarm: Press and hold the alarm or reset button as described in your Hoover manual to clear the H2 indication.
  • Monitor temperature: Use a thermometer to ensure the freezer returns to -18 °C within 24 hours. If it does not, investigate cooling performance issues.

Note: H2 itself is not a hardware fault but a warning. Persistent high temperature after clearing the alarm indicates an underlying cooling or sealing problem.
