How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before removing internal panels. Fan blades can be sharp.
- Access internal fan: Remove baskets and the rear internal panel to expose the evaporator fan.
- Check for ice: Look for ice build-up around the fan housing. Fully defrost the freezer if ice is present and investigate defrost system faults.
- Tighten fixings: Tighten any loose screws on the fan motor bracket and shroud.
- Remove obstructions: Ensure no packaging, cable ties, or insulation are contacting the fan blades.
- Replace noisy fan: If the fan still rattles or grinds when spun by hand, replace the evaporator fan motor and refit the fan blade securely.
