• 4. Measure compressor windings: Using a multimeter, measure resistance between the three compressor pins. You should see three low but distinct resistance values and no continuity to ground. If windings are open or shorted to ground, the compressor is faulty.
• 5. Control board output: If the compressor and overload test OK, the main control board may not be sending power to the compressor. This test involves live voltage and should be done by a professional.
• 6. Replace faulty parts: Replace the overload protector if defective. If the compressor is faulty, the entire sealed system must be serviced by a licensed technician.
