  • 2. Check ribbon cable: Inspect the flat cable between the user interface (UI) board and the main control board. Reseat both ends, ensuring they are fully inserted and locked.

  • 4. Visual inspection: Check for burnt components or cracked solder joints on the UI board.
  • 5. Replace UI board: If reseating cables does not resolve F8 and the main board appears normal, replace the user interface PCB with the correct IKEA/Whirlpool/Electrolux part.
  • 6. Main board replacement: If a new UI does not fix the issue, the main control board may be defective and require replacement.
