Possible Causes
Stuck relay on control board, Shorted temperature sensor, Incorrect temperature setting, Faulty user interface sending wrong setpoint
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before removing any control covers.
Steps:
- 1. Verify settings: Check that the temperature is not set to the coldest setting or to a special fast-freeze mode. Adjust to the recommended setting (usually around -18°C).
- 2. Power reset: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect and recheck the display.
- 3. Check sensors: If the freezer continues to run excessively cold, the temperature sensor may be shorted. Follow the sensor testing steps similar to F1 (freezer NTC) and replace if resistance is abnormally low.
- 4. Inspect control board: A stuck compressor relay can keep the compressor running continuously. Access the main board and look for signs of overheating around the relay. Replacement of the board is usually required if the relay is stuck.
Note: Extremely low temperatures can damage some foods; adjust settings promptly.
