Steps:

• 1. Listen for compressor: After plugging in, listen at the back. If the compressor is silent and you do not hear a hum or click, it may not be receiving power.
• 2. Check internal fan: Open the door and press the door switch; you should hear the evaporator fan. If both fan and compressor are off, suspect the control board or power supply.
• 3. Inspect start relay: Remove the rear lower panel and check the compressor start relay/PTC for burn marks or rattling. Replace if suspect.
• 4. Check for refrigerant leak signs: Oily residue on tubing or around joints can indicate a leak. This requires professional sealed system repair.
• 5. Control board: If the relay is good and there is no sign of a leak, the main control board may not be sending power to the compressor and may need replacement.
