How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the door is closed properly to prevent condensation and slipping hazards.

Immediate checks:

Verify that the freezer door is fully closed and that no baskets or food packages are preventing a proper seal.
Check the door gasket for tears, gaps, or dirt. Clean with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.
If you have just loaded a large quantity of warm food, allow 12–24 hours for the temperature to stabilize; the alarm may clear automatically.

Functional checks:

Listen for the compressor running (a low humming sound) and feel the sides or rear of the cabinet; they should become slightly warm.
Check if the internal fan is running when the door is closed (you may hear it stop when opening the door).

If the freezer is not cooling:

Inspect the condenser at the rear or underneath for heavy dust; clean with a soft brush and vacuum.
If the compressor is hot and running continuously but no cooling occurs, there may be a sealed-system issue (refrigerant leak or blocked capillary). This requires a qualified refrigeration technician.
