Freezer shows AL03 and the door alarm sounds even when the door appears closed.

Safety first: Ensure the appliance is stable before adjusting the door.

Door and gasket checks:

• Inspect the door gasket all around for splits, hardened sections, or areas not touching the cabinet.
• Close the door on a strip of paper at several points; you should feel resistance when pulling it out. If it slides out easily, the seal is poor.
• Level the freezer using the adjustable feet so the door closes by itself from a partially open position.

Switch and magnet:

• Locate the door switch or magnetic sensor and ensure it is firmly mounted.
• Check that the magnet in the door (if used) is present and aligned with the sensor.
• Test the switch with a multimeter and replace if it does not change state when the door is opened/closed.
