How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before removing the control panel.
Access the display panel:
- On Indesit upright freezers, the display is usually on the door front or top fascia. Remove the screws or clips holding the panel.
- Carefully pull the panel forward to expose the wiring harness.
Inspection:
- Check for signs of condensation or water damage on the display PCB.
- Ensure the ribbon cable or harness connector is fully seated and not corroded.
- Look for cracked solder joints at the connector or buttons.
Corrective actions:
- Dry any moisture with a soft cloth and allow the panel to air dry completely before reassembly.
- Reseat all connectors firmly.
- If the display remains dead or F06 persists, replace the user interface / display board with the correct Indesit part.
