Possible Causes
Corrupted configuration data in main PCB, Power surge or brownout, Incorrect replacement control board not programmed for model, Loose memory IC on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before opening any covers.
Initial reset:
- Disconnect power for 15–20 minutes to allow the control to fully reset.
- Reconnect and observe if F09 reappears.
Board inspection:
- Access the main control board at the rear lower section.
- Check for signs of overheating or physical damage around any memory ICs or microcontroller.
Corrective actions:
- If the board was recently replaced, verify that the correct Indesit part number was installed for your exact model and that any required configuration jumpers or programming steps were followed.
- If F09 persists and wiring/sensors are confirmed good, the main PCB likely needs replacement with a properly configured board.
Note: EEPROM reprogramming typically requires manufacturer tools; in most domestic situations, the entire board is replaced.
