Freezer displays F11 and the alarm buzzer may sound continuously; temperature may be too high.

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before removing any trims.

Locate the door switch:

• On many Indesit freezers, the door switch is located in the top frame or side frame of the cabinet, activated by the door closing.
• It may be a mechanical plunger switch or a hidden magnetic reed switch.

Checks:

• Inspect the door gasket and hinges to ensure the door closes fully and evenly.
• For mechanical switches, press the plunger by hand and listen for a click; test continuity with a multimeter (should change state when pressed).
• For magnetic switches, locate the magnet in the door and ensure it is not loose or missing.

Repair:

• Replace a faulty door switch with the correct Indesit spare.
• Adjust the door hinges if necessary so the door fully engages the switch.
• After replacement, restore power and confirm that the door alarm and interior light behave correctly.
