Steps:

• Check the user manual for a control lock/child lock function and attempt to unlock (usually by holding a specific button combination).
• If still unresponsive, remove the control panel fascia and inspect the ribbon cable connection to the display board.
• Reseat the cable and check for corrosion or damage.
• If the keypad membrane or touch panel is physically damaged or still unresponsive, replace the user interface board or keypad assembly with the correct Indesit part.
