Possible Causes

Freezer not level, Loose condenser coil or fan shroud, Panels or grilles vibrating, Items inside touching evaporator fan cover

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before tightening screws or moving the unit.

Steps:

  • Level the freezer: Use a bubble level and adjust the front leveling legs so the unit is stable and slightly tilted back.
  • Check rear panel and grilles: Tighten any loose screws on the rear access panel, toe grille, or condenser mounting brackets.
  • Inspect condenser fan shroud: Ensure the condenser fan shroud is secure and not contacting the fan blade.
  • Rearrange interior items: Make sure baskets and packages are not pressing against the evaporator cover or fan area.

Tip: Placing vibration-absorbing pads under the feet can reduce transmitted noise on hard floors.
