Water leaking onto the floor from under or around the freezer.

Safety first: Unplug the freezer. Water on the floor can cause slips; mop up spills promptly.

Steps:

• Locate drain: Remove the interior rear panel to find the defrost drain hole beneath the evaporator.
• Clear ice blockage: Use warm (not boiling) water in a turkey baster or squeeze bottle to flush the drain until water flows freely into the pan below.
• Clean drain tube: From the back, locate the rubber drain tube leading to the drain pan. Remove and clean it with warm water and a flexible brush if clogged.
• Inspect drain pan: Check the pan for cracks or misalignment on its supports. Replace the drain pan if damaged.
• Prevent recurrence: Ensure the door gasket seals properly to minimize excess frost and defrost water.
