Possible Causes
Multiple thermistor failures, Shorted sensor harness, Control board analog-to-digital converter failure, Moisture on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening any control enclosures.
- Step 1 – Inspect for moisture: Remove the control housing and check for condensation or water on the board. Dry gently with a soft cloth and allow to air dry completely.
- Step 2 – Check sensor harness: Inspect the multi-wire harness from the sensors to the board for pinched or damaged sections.
- Step 3 – Reseat all sensor connectors: Unplug and reconnect each thermistor connector on the board.
- Step 4 – Power cycle: Restore power and see if F1 clears. If it returns immediately, the board or sensors may be defective.
- Step 5 – Replace faulty components: If individual sensors test good, replace the main control board. If one sensor is out of range, replace that thermistor first.
