Display shows F2, audible alarm may sound, freezer may shut down cooling as a safety precaution.

• Step 1 – Verify actual temperature: Use a separate thermometer to check the real freezer temperature. If it is near normal, the sensor reading is likely faulty.

• Step 3 – Replace suspect thermistor: If the freezer thermistor is discolored or tests out of range, replace it.
