Possible Causes

Stuck keypad button, Liquid spill on control panel, Faulty user interface board, Control lock feature engaged

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power if you need to remove the control panel.

  • Step 1 – Check for control lock: Many JennAir models have a control lock feature. Press and hold the designated lock/unlock button (often 3–5 seconds) to toggle.
  • Step 2 – Clean keypad: Wipe the control surface with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel.
  • Step 3 – Power reset: Unplug the freezer for 5 minutes, then restore power to clear temporary keypad faults.
  • Step 4 – Inspect UI board: If certain buttons remain unresponsive, the user interface board may be damaged and require replacement.
