How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before deep cleaning or removing panels.
- Step 1 – Remove all contents: Discard any spoiled or questionable food items.
- Step 2 – Clean interior: Wash all interior surfaces with a solution of baking soda and warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Step 3 – Clean gasket: Pull back the door gasket folds and clean with mild detergent. Dry completely to prevent mold.
- Step 4 – Check drain pan: Access the drain pan above the compressor and clean out any stagnant water or residue.
- Step 5 – Deodorize: Place an open box of baking soda or a refrigerator deodorizer inside to absorb remaining odors.
