Freezer interior light does not turn on when door is opened.

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before replacing light components.

• Step 1 – Check door switch: Press the door switch manually. If the light does not come on and the control does not react, the switch may be faulty.
• Step 2 – Inspect light module: Remove the light cover and check for obvious damage or discoloration.
• Step 3 – Replace light module or bulb: Install a JennAir-approved replacement LED module or bulb.
• Step 4 – If still dark: The door switch or control board may need replacement. Test continuity of the switch and replace if open when pressed.
