Freezer not cooling at all, interior warm, lights may still work but compressor and fans are off.

Safety first: Always unplug the freezer before removing panels or touching wiring.

• Step 1 – Verify power: Plug a lamp or small device into the same outlet to confirm it has power. Check the circuit breaker and reset if tripped.
• Step 2 – Check power cord: Inspect the JennAir power cord for cuts, burns, or kinks. Ensure it is fully seated in the outlet.
• Step 3 – Listen for operation: With the door closed for several minutes, listen for the compressor or fans. If completely silent, the control may not be calling for cooling.
• Step 4 – Control reset: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in. Re-enter temperature settings and see if the compressor starts within 10–20 minutes.
• Step 5 – If still no cooling: The main control board, compressor start device, or compressor itself may be faulty. Further diagnosis with a multimeter is required and is best done by a technician.
