Possible Causes
Oil migration in compressor from laying unit on its side, Loose wiring from movement, Damaged compressor or tubing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the freezer is upright and stable before plugging in.
- Step 1 – Allow settling time: If the freezer was laid on its side, leave it upright and unplugged for at least 4–24 hours (check manual) to allow compressor oil to return.
- Step 2 – Verify power and cord: Confirm the outlet works and the cord is undamaged.
- Step 3 – Listen for operation: After plugging in, allow up to 20 minutes for the compressor to start. Some controls have a built-in delay.
- Step 4 – Inspect rear compartment: If there are unusual noises or no operation at all, check for dislodged wiring or visible damage. Contact a technician if damage is suspected.
