Possible Causes
Condenser fan motor failure, Blocked condenser coils, Control board fan output fault, Fan wiring harness damage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before accessing the rear compartment.
- Step 1 – Clean condenser coils: Remove the rear lower panel and use a coil brush and vacuum to clean dust from the condenser.
- Step 2 – Check fan operation: With power restored, verify that the condenser fan runs when the compressor is on. If not, unplug and inspect the fan motor and wiring.
- Step 3 – Replace fan motor if seized: If the fan blade does not spin freely by hand, replace the condenser fan motor.
If F5 persists with a known-good fan, the main control board may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
