Freezer door is hard to open right after closing, or pops open when the refrigerator door is closed (on combo units).

Safety first: Leveling and gasket checks are safe with power on.

• Step 1 – Wait a moment: A tight seal immediately after closing is often normal due to pressure changes. Wait 30–60 seconds and try again.
• Step 2 – Clean gasket: Wipe the gasket with warm soapy water to reduce sticking.
• Step 3 – Level the unit: Adjust leveling legs so the cabinet is slightly higher in front, helping doors close and seal properly.

If the door frequently pops open or will not stay closed, inspect and replace the gasket or adjust hinges as needed.
