Freezer interior light does not turn on when the door is opened.

Possible Causes
Burned-out LED module or bulb, Faulty door switch, Loose light wiring connector, Main control not powering light circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before replacing any light modules or working with wiring.
- Step 1 – Check door switch: Press the door switch manually. If the control panel responds but the light stays off, the light circuit is suspect.
- Step 2 – Inspect light module: Locate the interior light lens, usually at the top. Remove the cover and check for loose connections.
- Step 3 – Replace light module: If the LED module or bulb is visibly damaged or darkened, replace it with a KitchenAid-compatible part.
If a new light module does not work and the door switch is good, the main control board may have a failed light driver and should be checked by a technician.
