Possible Causes

Failed condenser fan motor, Obstruction by dust or debris around fan, Loose or damaged fan wiring, Faulty main PCB output to condenser fan

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the freezer before accessing the rear compartment. The condenser and compressor may be hot.

Steps to address E7 (condenser fan):

  • 1. Access rear compartment: Remove the lower rear panel to expose the condenser coil and condenser fan (if your Leisure model uses one; some are static-condenser designs without a fan).
  • 2. Inspect for blockage: Check for dust build-up, plastic bags, or other debris preventing the fan from turning. Clean thoroughly with a soft brush and vacuum.
  • 3. Spin test: Gently spin the fan blades by hand. They should rotate freely without grinding. Stiff or seized movement indicates a worn motor.
  • 4. Electrical check: With the unit unplugged, disconnect the fan and measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open circuit suggests a failed motor.
  • 5. Replace fan motor: Fit a compatible Leisure condenser fan motor. Transfer the fan blade if separate, and ensure correct airflow direction (usually blowing air through the condenser coil).
  • 6. Inspect wiring and PCB: Check the harness from the fan to the main PCB for damage. Reseat connectors at both ends.
  • 7. Reassemble and test: Refit the rear panel, restore power, and observe operation. The fan should run when the compressor is on, and the E7 code should clear.
  • 8. If fan never receives power: The main control PCB may have a failed fan driver. PCB replacement is required and should be done by a qualified technician.
