Steps to resolve E9 (general sensor short):

• 1. Identify which sensor is affected: Consult the user or service manual if available; some Leisure models indicate which sensor is faulty via subcodes or blinking segments.
• 2. Visual inspection: Check all accessible sensors (cabinet, evaporator, ambient) and their wiring for crushed or exposed sections where the harness passes through panels or around brackets.
• 3. Disconnect sensors one by one: With power off, unplug one sensor at a time from the main PCB and check if the resistance is within expected range. A reading near 0 Ω indicates a shorted sensor.
• 4. Repair or replace: If wiring is pinched to metal, repair the harness and insulate with heat-shrink or electrical tape. Replace any Leisure NTC sensor that measures as a short or shows unstable readings.
• 5. Dry connectors: If moisture is present, dry connectors thoroughly and apply a small amount of dielectric grease if appropriate.
• 6. Reassemble and test: Reconnect all sensors, restore power, and monitor. The E9 code should clear once the short is removed.
• 7. If all sensors test good: The main control PCB sensor input may be shorted internally. Replace the main control PCB.
