Possible Causes

Loose or damaged communication harness between display and main PCB, Failed display PCB, Corroded connectors due to condensation, Main PCB communication driver fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the freezer before removing the control fascia or accessing PCBs.

Steps to resolve F4 (UI communication):

  • 1. Access control fascia: Remove screws securing the top/front control panel and gently pull it forward.
  • 2. Check ribbon cable/harness: Inspect the cable between the display PCB and main PCB for kinks, cuts, or loose plugs. Reseat both ends.
  • 3. Look for moisture: If condensation has entered the fascia, dry the area thoroughly. Consider improving door seal or room humidity if this recurs.
  • 4. Test operation: Restore power and see if the display responds and F4 clears.
  • 5. Replace display PCB if needed: If the harness is good but the display remains dead or erratic, install a new Leisure display PCB / user interface board.
  • 6. If issue persists: The main control PCB communication circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
