Possible Causes
Damaged or hardened door gasket, Door not closing fully due to misaligned hinges, Frequent door openings, Cracked inner liner allowing moist air ingress
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Use warm water to remove ice; avoid sharp tools that can puncture the liner or evaporator.
Steps:
- 1. Inspect gasket: Check the Leisure door gasket for tears, gaps, or areas not contacting the cabinet.
- 2. Gasket test: Close the door on a sheet of paper and pull; resistance should be felt all around. If it slides out easily in spots, the seal is weak.
- 3. Adjust door: Tighten or adjust hinges so the door aligns squarely with the cabinet.
- 4. Replace gasket: Warm the new Leisure freezer door gasket to make it flexible, then fit it into the door channel. Ensure it seats fully.
- 5. Defrost fully: Perform a complete manual defrost to remove existing ice, then monitor for recurrence.
