Safety: Unplug the Leisure freezer before accessing the compressor area. Do not attempt sealed system repairs yourself.
Steps:
- 1. Listen for compressor: After plugging in, listen at the back. No hum or click suggests no power or a failed start device.
- 2. Check thermostat/control: Ensure the unit is switched on and not in demo mode. Set to a colder temperature.
- 3. Access compressor compartment: Remove the rear lower panel and inspect the compressor start relay and overload protector for burn marks or loose connections.
- 4. Replace start device: If the relay/PTC is suspect, replace it with a compatible Leisure compressor start relay/PTC and test again.
- 5. If still no operation: The main control PCB or compressor itself may be faulty. At this stage, contact a professional technician for further diagnosis.
