Possible Causes
Burnt-out LED module or bulb, Failed door switch, Loose wiring to light assembly, Faulty main PCB light output
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before accessing the light assembly.
- Check other functions: If the display and cooling work, the issue is likely local to the light circuit.
- Test door switch: Press the switch and listen for a click. Test continuity with a multimeter. Replace if defective.
- Access light module: Remove the light cover and inspect the LED module or bulb. Replace with an LG-approved part if visibly damaged or darkened.
- Check wiring: Ensure connectors to the light module are secure.
If a new switch and light module do not restore lighting, the main PCB may not be supplying power and should be checked by a technician.
