• Test magnet: Run a small magnet along the frame where the switch is located. If the interior light or display reacts intermittently, the reed switch may be failing.
• Inspect hinge wiring: If the switch is wired through the hinge, remove the hinge cover and check for broken or pinched wires.

Remedy: Replace the door contact switch or magnet if defective. Ensure the new switch is positioned correctly so it changes state when the door is closed.
