Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before accessing sensors or the control panel.
Steps:
- Check SuperFrost button: Press the SuperFrost key and observe if the indicator LED or symbol responds. A stuck or non-responsive button can indicate a UI fault.
- Locate SuperFrost sensor: Some Liebherr models use a separate sensor near the evaporator or in a specific compartment zone for SuperFrost control.
- Inspect wiring: Trace the sensor wiring to the control board and check for damage or loose connectors.
- Test sensor: Measure resistance and compare to other NTC sensors in the unit. A significantly different reading at the same temperature suggests failure.
Remedy: Replace the SuperFrost sensor or repair the wiring as needed. If the sensor is good but F13 persists, the control board's SuperFrost circuit may be defective.
