Display shows dF or a defrost symbol for an extended period; freezer may warm slightly during this time.

Safety first: No immediate hazard, but avoid leaving the door open during diagnosis.

• Wait for cycle completion: Many Logik freezers display a defrost indicator during automatic defrost. This should clear within 20–40 minutes. Monitor temperature with a thermometer.
• Power reset: If dF remains for several hours, unplug the freezer for 10 minutes, then reconnect. This can clear a control glitch.
• Check for excessive warming: If the interior temperature rises significantly and dF does not clear, there may be a control or sensor fault. Refer to E4 procedures to test the defrost sensor and heater.

Note: If the unit repeatedly gets stuck in defrost, the main control board may need replacement by a technician.
