How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before opening the control panel.
- Power cycle: Unplug the freezer for at least 10 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge. Reconnect and see if the error clears.
- Inspect control panel: Remove the control panel cover and check for signs of moisture, condensation, or corrosion. Dry gently with a hairdryer on a cool setting if moisture is present.
- Check buttons: Press each button several times to free any that may be stuck. Ensure the fascia is not pressing continuously on a key.
- Reconnect harnesses: Reseat all connectors between the control panel and main PCB.
Note: If Er persists, the main control board or display PCB is likely faulty. Replacement is typically required and should be done by a qualified technician.
