Possible Causes
Loose condenser coils or tubing, Loose compressor mounting bolts, Items vibrating against the cabinet, Fan blades hitting ice or wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before adjusting any components.
- Check external items: Ensure nothing is stored on top of or behind the freezer that could rattle when it runs.
- Secure tubing and coils: At the rear, gently press on copper tubing and condenser coils. If they move and rattle, secure them with foam pads or cable ties, avoiding kinks.
- Inspect compressor mounts: Tighten any loose compressor mounting bolts and replace worn grommets.
- Check evaporator fan: Inside the freezer, remove the rear panel and ensure the fan blades are not contacting ice or wiring. Clear ice and reposition wires as needed.
