Freezer shows correct temperature but food near the door or top is soft while items at the back are very hard.

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before removing internal panels.

• Reorganize contents: Avoid packing food tightly against the rear wall or over vents. Leave space for air circulation.
• Check fan operation: Open the door and listen for the evaporator fan. It should run when the compressor is on and the door switch is pressed. If not, test and replace the evaporator fan motor as needed.
• Inspect for frost: Remove the rear inner panel and clear any frost blocking the fan or air channels. Investigate defrost issues if frost is heavy.
