Possible Causes
Frozen or clogged defrost drain, Misaligned drain trough, Door gasket leaking warm moist air, Excessive humidity entering cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer and remove food from the bottom area.
- Remove ice: Place towels on the floor and allow the ice to melt naturally or use bowls of hot water inside to speed up melting. Do not chip ice with sharp tools.
- Clear drain: Locate and clear the defrost drain as described in the water leak fault. Ensure water flows freely to the rear drain pan.
- Check drain trough alignment: Make sure the plastic trough under the evaporator is properly seated and directing water into the drain hole.
- Inspect door gasket: Replace the door gasket if it is allowing warm, moist air to enter and condense.
