Freezer door will not stay closed or pops open slightly after being shut.

Possible Causes
Warped or torn door gasket, Freezer not level front-to-back, Items inside pushing against the door, Weak door hinges
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer if you need to remove the door or hinges.
Steps:
- Rearrange contents: Ensure no baskets or tall items are pressing against the door liner.
- Level the unit: Adjust the front leveling feet so the freezer tilts slightly backward. This helps the door self-close.
- Inspect the gasket: Look for gaps where the gasket does not contact the cabinet. Use a hair dryer on low to gently warm and reshape minor warps. Replace the gasket if it is torn or hardened.
- Check hinges: Tighten hinge screws. If the door sags or has excessive play, hinge components may need replacement.
Tip: After gasket replacement, lightly coat the gasket with petroleum jelly to help it seat and seal during the first few days.
