High Cabinet Surface Temperature
Freezer exterior sides or front frame feel very hot to the touch.

Possible Causes
Condenser coils embedded in cabinet working harder due to poor ventilation, Dirty external condenser coils, High ambient room temperature
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Surfaces may be hot but should not be scalding. If you smell burning plastic or see smoke, unplug immediately.
Steps:
- Check ventilation clearance: Ensure there is adequate space around the freezer (typically at least a few inches on sides and back) for air circulation.
- Clean condenser coils: If your model has exposed coils, vacuum and brush them clean.
- Measure temperature: Warm sides are normal, especially near the door frame, but they should not exceed roughly 120°F (49°C). If they are extremely hot, reduce ambient room temperature or move the unit to a cooler location.
- Monitor performance: If cooling is normal and there is no burning smell, this is usually normal operation. If cooling is poor and sides are very hot, the condenser system may be overloaded.
