Possible Causes
Loose compressor mounting bolts, Freezer not level, Internal components or shelves rattling, Copper lines striking cabinet during startup
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before adjusting mounts or accessing the compressor area.
Steps:
- Level the cabinet: Use a level and adjust the front feet so the freezer is stable and does not rock when pushed.
- Check internal items: Ensure shelves, baskets, and food items are not vibrating against each other or the liner. Rearrange as needed.
- Inspect compressor mounts: Remove the rear lower panel and check that the compressor mounting bolts or rubber grommets are intact and snug. Tighten loose bolts gently; do not overtighten and crush the grommets.
- Secure tubing: If copper lines jump or hit the cabinet at startup, add foam padding or clips to hold them away from contact points.
- Test operation: Restore power and observe several start/stop cycles to confirm noise reduction.
