Display shows dashes (---) instead of temperature; freezer may or may not be cooling.

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before removing any panels or touching wiring.

• Check cooling: Verify if the freezer is actually cooling using a thermometer. If temperature is stable, the issue may be display-only.
• Inspect sensor connections: Access the control housing and ensure all thermistor connectors are firmly seated on the electronic control board.
• Check harness: Look for pinched or broken wires between the sensors and control.
• Replace display or control: If wiring and sensors are intact, replace the user interface/display board. If the issue persists, replace the main control board.
