Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between UI and main control, Corroded UI connector, Failed user interface board, Defective main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or touching any wiring.

  • Reset power: Unplug the freezer for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in. If E6 returns, continue.
  • Access UI panel: Remove screws securing the front/top control panel. Carefully pull it forward to expose the user interface board and ribbon cable.
  • Check connections: Reseat the ribbon cable at both the UI and main control ends. Look for corrosion or bent pins.
  • Inspect for moisture: If condensation or spills reached the UI, dry the area thoroughly and consider replacing the UI board.
  • Replace UI or main control: If connections are good and E6 persists, replace the user interface board first. If still unresolved, replace the electronic control board.
