Safety first: Unplug the freezer before working inside.
- Remove ice: Take out baskets and chip away loose ice with a plastic scraper. Do not use sharp tools.
- Access drain: Remove the rear interior panel to expose the evaporator and drain trough.
- Thaw drain: Pour hot (not boiling) water into the drain hole until water flows freely into the drain pan below. Use a turkey baster or squeeze bottle.
- Clean tube: From the rear, locate the drain tube and ensure it is not kinked. Clean with a flexible brush if accessible.
