Possible Causes
Loose or damaged communication harness, Corroded connectors at UI or main PCB, Faulty display module, Faulty main control board communication circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before removing the display or control covers.
Steps:
- 1. Inspect display behavior: Note if any LEDs or segments light up at all. A completely dead display with F10 logged suggests power or communication issues.
- 2. Access user interface: Remove the trim and screws holding the display module. Carefully pull it forward to expose the wiring.
- 3. Check connectors: Reseat the ribbon cable or harness connectors at both the display and main control board ends. Look for bent pins or corrosion.
- 4. Harness continuity: With power off, test continuity of each conductor in the harness between UI and main board. Replace the harness if any conductor is open.
- 5. Module substitution: If wiring is good, replace the display module. If the problem persists, the main control board is likely at fault.
