Possible Causes
One or more NTC sensors out of calibration, Wiring harness cross-connection, Control board ADC (analog-to-digital converter) fault, Poor sensor mounting causing false readings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before testing sensors or accessing wiring.
Steps:
- 1. Compare readings: Use an accurate thermometer to check actual freezer temperature and compare with display.
- 2. Test all NTC sensors: Locate cabinet, evaporator, and defrost sensors. Disconnect each and measure resistance at a known temperature. Replace any sensor that is significantly out of expected range.
- 3. Inspect harness routing: Ensure sensor wires are not pinched or routed near high-voltage lines that could induce noise.
- 4. Reseat connectors: Clean and reseat all sensor connectors at the main control board.
- 5. Replace control board: If all sensors test correctly and F15 persists, the main control board's sensor input circuitry may be defective.
