Miele
Interior Light Circuit Failure
Freezer interior light not working but cooling is normal
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Burnt-out LED module or bulb, Faulty door switch, Broken light wiring, Failed light driver on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before replacing any light components.
Steps:
- 1. Check door switch: Press the door switch manually. If the fan responds but the light does not, the switch is likely OK and the light circuit is suspect.
- 2. Replace light module: On many Miele freezers, the light is an LED module behind a plastic cover. Remove the cover and replace the module with a genuine Miele part.
- 3. Wiring check: If a new module does not light, inspect wiring from the light to the control board for damage.
- 4. Control board: A failed light driver on the PCB will require board replacement if all else is good.
