• 1. Check loading and airflow: Ensure vents inside the freezer are not blocked by food packages. Leave space around the evaporator cover and fan outlets.
• 2. Inspect sensor mounting: Confirm that the cabinet sensor is firmly clipped in place and not hanging loose.
• 3. Wiggle test: With power off, gently move the sensor wires and connectors while monitoring for looseness or corrosion. Repair or replace any suspect harnesses.
• 4. Monitor with thermometer: Use an independent thermometer to verify actual temperature swings. If large swings persist despite good airflow and wiring, the control board may be faulty.
