Ice buildup around evaporator fan, loose fan blade, worn evaporator fan motor bearings, loose interior panels or shelves
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before removing interior panels.
- Empty and access: Remove food from the area near the rear panel and take off the interior rear panel.
- Inspect fan: Look for ice contacting the fan blade. Defrost ice with a hair dryer on low, keeping it moving.
- Check blade: Ensure the blade is firmly attached to the motor shaft and not cracked. Replace the evaporator fan blade if damaged.
- Spin test: Rotate the fan by hand; if it feels rough or noisy, replace the evaporator fan motor.
- Secure panels: Reinstall the rear panel securely to prevent vibration.
