Possible Causes
Faulty SuperFreeze button or switch on UI, Stuck relay controlling SuperFreeze mode, Software fault in main control module, Wiring issue between UI and main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before accessing the control panel or main board.
Steps:
- 1. Reset functions: Turn SuperFreeze off via the control panel, then unplug the freezer for 5–10 minutes. Reconnect and test the function again.
- 2. Check the SuperFreeze button: Remove the control fascia and inspect the button mechanism. Ensure it is not physically stuck or damaged.
- 3. Inspect UI PCB: Look for cracked solder joints or contamination around the SuperFreeze switch contacts. Clean gently with isopropyl alcohol if needed.
- 4. Main board relay: On some models, a dedicated relay controls SuperFreeze operation. Inspect the relay on the main board for burn marks or mechanical sticking (clicking but not switching).
- 5. Replace faulty module: If the button is defective, replace the UI board. If the relay or logic on the main board is faulty, replace the main control module with a genuine Neff part.
