E17 appears and the display may show incorrect or fluctuating temperature readings.

Safety: Unplug the freezer before removing the display panel.

Steps:

• 1. Power reset: Disconnect power for 10 minutes and reconnect. Observe if the displayed temperature stabilizes.
• 2. Inspect display connections: Remove the display fascia and check the ribbon cable and connectors for secure fit and no corrosion.
• 3. Compare with actual temperature: Place a thermometer inside the freezer. If the actual temperature is stable but the display is erratic, the issue is likely with the display or control electronics.
• 4. Replace display PCB: If connections are good, replace the display/user interface board with the correct Neff part.
• 5. If still faulty: The main control module may be sending incorrect data and should be checked by a technician.
